The 2021 House Swimming Carnival was a fantastic event!
Only a week after term 1 began students were excited to jump in the pool at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) and compete for the House Swimming Carnival.
February 9th, Tuesday - A perfect day with the sun shining as Huntingtower enjoyed its first live sports event of the year. And what a treat to finally have parents allowed to spectate as well!
The winners of the event, Rayner House, were announced today and were deserving champions as they swept away the competition. 2nd place was Mather House, 3rd was Warrell and lastly Bruce house. There were records broken in the under 15s breastroke (Xavier Tan: Bruce - New record 34.44s), and the girls under 16s freestyle relay (Sophie Jiang, Georgia Mc Garvie, Isabella Zeuschner and Ava Rulton: Mather - New record 2.16.22).
Year 12 age champions: James Cookson (Mather) and Anthea Milasinovich (Rayner)
Well done to all the students who took part in the swimming carnival, we look forward to cheering on Huntingtower at the upcoming EISM Swimming Competition!
